Listen up.
While my work is primarily visual, music is another essential part of my creative world. I compose orchestral and film-inspired pieces, with a particular love for strings, using sound to tell stories and evoke deep emotions. Visual art is primarily an intellectual practice with aesthetic impact, while sound, for me, is much more visceral in it’s final state, but its creation is also one well-thought out. Only sound has the power to move me to tears, to stir something beyond words. Through my compositions, I explore that raw, emotional depth, crafting music that immerses the listener just as my paintings invite contemplation.
A piece for string quartet. Strings have a special place in my heart. This piece is titled impending; impending….excitement? doom? adventure? power?
An orchestral composition consisting of woodwinds, brass, strings and percussion. The majesty of not a royal sovereign but of the freedom to escape that sovereignty.
An orchestral piece with brass, strings and piano. Imaging the feeling of laying in the tall grass in an open field, enjoying the sun’s warmth and the fresh smell of grass.
A piano solo. The Collective is about finding your people, working against the odds, finding togetherness in the challenge.
An orchestral piece for string, brass, woodwind and percussion featuring the classic Christmas sleigh bell. I wanted to create a festive, heartwarming song for the holiday season.
Instrumentation: Strings, woodwind
We are all waiting for something. What are you waiting for? Has it consumed? Are you living in the present or barely living, in limbo, while you “just” wait. BUt just is a dnagerous word because waiting can be devastating. Waiting can allow your world to lose much enjoyment as you “wait”
A piece for harp, bass and flute? Imagine a child sneaking through a dark forest and happening upon a small creature after which they chase.
Instrumentation: Strings, woodwind
The transportation of an important package - a prisoner’s pardon? an important document? a code? a love letter?
